Questions from clinicians

Frequently asked questions.

Who can you help?

Doctors (general practitioners, specialists and consultants), nurses (including specialist nurses, midwives and nurse managers) and allied health professionals such as physiotherapists, radiographers, laboratory scientists, pharmacists and dietitians, who are trained or working in Europe and want to build their career in the UAE or wider GCC.

How long does it take to get licensed?

For most professionals the licensing process typically takes around 3–4 months. The main factors are how quickly your qualifications and experience can be verified and when you can sit any required assessment. We give you a realistic timeline after your eligibility check.

Do I need to pass an exam?

Most healthcare professionals sit a licensing assessment set by the health authority. Some experienced professionals may be eligible for an exemption, depending on their country of qualification, specialty and experience. We check this for you during the eligibility review and guide your preparation if an exam is needed.

Do I need to speak Arabic?

No. English is the working language in most UAE hospitals and clinics, and licensing assessments are taken in English. Arabic is a welcome advantage with patients, but it is not a requirement for most roles.

Which licence do I need: DHA, DOH or MOHAP?

It depends on the emirate where you will work. Dubai is licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Abu Dhabi by the Department of Health (DOH), and most other emirates by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP). We help you choose the right route based on where the best opportunities for you are.

Do I pay for hospital placement?

No. Our recruitment fees are paid by the hospital or clinic that hires you, so being matched and placed with an employer costs you nothing. Official fees set by the health authority, for example for your licence application, verification or exam, are paid to the authority. We explain all of this in your free consultation.

Can my family move with me?

Yes. Professionals on a UAE employment visa can usually sponsor their spouse and children once they meet the salary and housing requirements. We guide you through family visas, housing and school options as part of your relocation.

Is the first consultation free?

Yes. Your first conversation with us is free and without obligation. We review your background, explain your options and the steps involved, and answer your questions.
